青岛雕塑艺术馆2000年5月落成，位于青岛市东部新区黄海之滨，是东海路海滨风景线上的一颗明珠，是去崂山风景区的必经之地。它由室内雕塑艺术馆和室外雕塑公园两部分组成，总规划面积8公顷，总投资5000余万元。其中室内面积3800平方米，以收藏近现代中外雕塑精品为主；园区则以国内外优秀室外雕塑艺术品陈列其中，其功能主要展示20世纪近现代雕塑家代表作品和成名作。
青岛雕塑艺术馆除馆藏、展览雕塑作品，本身规划和建设所体现的人文元素和大自然海天一色的交融，本就是一件上乘的艺术品，在国内艺术场馆中堪称佳作。
Qingdao Sculpture Museum was founded in May, 2000. It locates in the east part of the city facing the Yellow Sea, consists of two parts of the indoor sculpture arts gallery and the outdoor sculpture park, which has a total layout area of 8 hectare and an indoor exhibition gallery area of 3800 square meters. QDSM is specialized in collection and exhibition excellent sculpture works. Its outline and construction style, which embody its own humanism feature and the perfect combination with natural surroundings, is just an excellent art and is an outstanding one among all galleries in China.
 青岛海滨雕塑园依山面海，环境优美。园区的设计结合了优美的自然环境和丰富的滨海景观，充分调动雕塑、道路、水体、植物等造园因素，突出了雕塑公园的特色。园区的规划设计采用了欧式造园手法，建筑依势而建，最大限度的给游人留出观海空间；园林绿化设计以青岛特色树种黑松为主，附以金叶女贞、松柏球等植被贯穿园区，采用组团式设计，疏密有序，使整个园区更具有整体性、延续性和艺术性。在雕塑设置上，突出雕塑语言与自然环境的对话。设计构思与雕塑环境的和谐，与艺术家的雕塑精品相得益彰，达到艺术资源与自然环境的最佳配置。
QDSM has beautiful scenery with mountains and sea around. The Garden integrates harmoniously the beautiful natural surroundings and the ample seashore landscapes by means of an overall garden design which combines subtly such gardening components as sculpture, path, water mass and plant, giving prominence to the features of the sculpture garden. The garden layout design adopts an approach of single formation, and the buildings were erected in accordance with the natural terrain, which provide the tourists and the city with a maximum vision of sea horizon. And the greening design takes the Qingdao featured tree species Pinus Thunbergii as the main greening plants while supported by such accompanying vegetation covers as Goldleaf Privet Ligustrum, Amur Barberry and Sabina Chinensis scattering throughout the Garden. The greening approach is association-oriented, and well spaced and ordered, mixing unification with variation exquisitely, which presents both an integral great momentum and a seasonal subtle alteration. The plane design not only possesses an artistic structure but gives a green scene of plant sculptures as well. And in terms of sculpture arrangement, the correspondence between the sculpture language and the natural environment, and the harmony between the design approach and the sculpture surroundings were emphasized. The elaborated indoor and outdoor sculpture works by celebrated sculptors along with the subtle coordination reach the best distribution of the artistic resources and the natural resources.
园区设有两条游览路线。一条为沿海岸线的平坦步行道，便于游人欣赏海景，同时辟有广场、雕塑廊、花坛等园林小品。另一条游览路线是贯穿公园的主步行道，随地形起伏，沿途雕塑、水池、瀑布、绿化墙、鹅卵石铺装的旱池区和林荫道，令人流连忘返。中部为下沉式水池广场，为游人提供宜人的室外休息空间。别具一格的广场、修剪整齐的植物雕塑、自然曲折的溪水瀑布、规则的水池广场，花木扶疏，充分体现了设计者独具匠心的造园手法，与青岛市的城市风格和谐统一。
There are two paths in the Park. One is a smooth walk path along coastline, where travelers can have a good view of the sea. Alone the path there are square, sculpture alley and parterres, etc. The other path is the main walk path, which crosses the park. There are sculptures, pools, waterfalls, greenery walls, cobblestone area and avenue alone it. In the middle of it, there is an underground square, where travelers can have an outdoor rest. There are unique square, well-sheared plant sculptures, zigzag brook and waterfall, regular pool square and scattered woods and flowers, which fully embody the designers’ idea and keep harmonious with Qingdao’s city style.
青岛雕塑艺术馆以艺术交流、艺术传播和艺术教育为使命，是人们的精神家园。

青岛雕塑艺术馆是中国第一座专业性、学术性的雕塑艺术场馆，是中国雕塑艺术事业蓬勃发展的重要标志之一。

展馆结构设施
Structure and Facilities of the Gallery
青岛雕塑艺术馆室内艺术馆面积为3800平方米，共三层：一层中央大厅、地下展厅和二层综合小展厅。两层主要展厅的面积、布局结构相同，每层分割为两个独立展厅，层高为4.5米，大厅面积1200平方米，小厅面积260平方米。地上展线长度为360米，地下展线长度为420米。
QDSM indoor gallery has an area of 3800 square meters, composed of three floors: 1st floor exhibition hall, undergrand exhibition hall and 2nd intergrated small lobby. The mainly two exhibition halls are the same in the terms of area and structure. Each floor has two separate halls, the bigger one is 1200 square meters, the small one is 260 square meters with the height of 4.5 meters. The exhibition length of the 1st floor and the 2nd floor is 360meters and 420meters separately.
一层大厅呈扇形架构，大理石地面；小厅呈正方形，铺设木地板；地上展厅南面临海，为玻璃幕墙结构，自然采光充足。地下展厅为封闭式展厅，滑槽灯架可调节。
The big hall in the first floor is fan-shaped with marble floor; the small hall is a square
with wooden floor. The exhibition hall over ground faces sea in the south and has glass wall with good sunshine. The exhibition hall underground is a close one and its runner lamps are adjustable.
展厅音响设施、灯光设施、监控设施、消防设施齐全完备，可承担雕塑等各类艺术展览。
The exhibition hall has perfect acoustics devices, lighting devices, supervision devices and fire control equipments. The exhibition hall can hold various art exhibitions.
